Export Lager

The Export Lager is based on the Dortmunder lager style a decidedly rich and deep-bodied beer, with malt as the clear dominant factor. Deep golden in colour, with notable sweet malt notes, this beer's unique aspect is the deliberate addition of dimethyl sulphide, a sulphur compound that presents as a sweetcorn note on nose and palate. In balance, this brings added complexity to the beer. This is a more intriguing expression of the lager family, as opposed to the innocuous industrial lager beers that have come to dominate in recent times
