English IPA
Beer Description
A copper-red English IPA where malt leads and hops keep it honest. Pours a deep copper-red with a soft, off-white head. Rich caramel, toffee and biscuit malt come forward first, followed by subtle orange marmalade and soft stone fruit esters from the River Trent yeast. It’s warm, rounded and inviting from the first pour. On the palate, it leans into classic English balance. Layers of caramel and toasted biscuit roll through the front, with a smooth bitterness from traditional English hops keeping everything in check. Fresh Fuggle from Ryefield brings a gentle herbal edge, while light citrus and stone fruit lift the finish. At 6.5% and 45 IBU, it lands clean and structured, with a lingering bitterness that keeps the next sip easy to justify. Brewed in collaboration with Mogwai Labs using MOG-008 River Trent yeast, this release stays close to traditional English IPA character — malt-forward, yeast-driven, and built around classic hop expression rather than modern overload.
