The Sappho Bar - Glebe | Bar

The Sappho Bar is located in the the bohemian & university suburb of Glebe in the Inner West of Sydney. They have an elegant wine list and a large selection of locally brewed craft beers & ciders as well as top quality, great value 'house' wine options. In summer they serve jugs of sangria and in winter, mulled wine. All year round they serve unique and popular cocktails. The courtyard is magically lit with a vibrant atmosphere and live acoustic music from 7.30 to 9 most nights. The courtyard is home to a generation of graffiti as the bookshop building had a former life as a youth centre. Rather than white-wash the history of Sappho, owners made the street-art a feature of the garden courtyard. The Sydney's biggest poetry night: "Poetry Nights at Sappho" takes place there on the second Tuesday of each month.
