Sooooooooooo, how is it that 'Sour Beers' have emerged a staple feature of our craft beer scene, where a handful of years ago there were none. In a nutshell, it is because there is a whole other palate to work with (perhaps why they are increasingly appealing to females!?) and because they can be so incredibly refreshing. 'Sours' carry a completely different flavour profile than the typical 'malty-bitter' continuum of most beers and the flavours are often unique and surprising, most especially when fruit and/or spices/herbs come into the mix. Chris Webby announces debut Australia tour! ft. Cheez tv Within his tumultuous, often unorthodox, yet extremely successful run in the hip-hop realm, Connecticut native, Chris Webby, has amassed a large and religiously loyal fan base and he is heading to delight Australian fans for the first time! From being the first artist to crash the website "Dat Piff" with his mixtape "Best In The Burbs" in 2010 (Webby then crashed the site twice more with critically acclaimed releases), to later going out on a 50 date tour with underground legend Tech N9ne, Webby has continued to both evolve and maintain for just shy of a decade in the industry, all while remaining independent. Even with clinically diagnosed ADD, Webby's focus on his music is unwavering. Hustle, creativity, determination, and downright refusal to give in to trends all play a role in what keeps his sound so unique and his fans constantly craving more. With 13 projects (9 mixtapes, 3 EP's, and 1 album), 100+million youtube streams, 70+million soundcloud plays, 80+million spotify streams and counting under his belt already, Webby hasn't slowed down yet. In 2017, he continued to release a barrage of content, this time putting it out every Wednesday of the year as a part of his #WebbyWednesday series. This January long weekend is a Bank Holiday. Join us for four days of Beers, Beats, Bands, BBQ, and Banter as we celebrate the long weekend. THURSDAY: FOREVR Sports Bra Narrow Lands Will be heating up the Waywards Stage. FRIDAY: The debut night for All My Friends, coming to Friday nights at Waywards. From 11pm onwards 'All My Friends' take over on the decks and will be bringing the party all the way until 4am. Entry is free. SATURDAY: It will be all about the beats on Sunny Saturday. In our FRONT BAR we will have the decks set up and the jockeys spinning the hottest tracks. It will be boogie city. 12-3: Sex Kimono AKA Adam Lewis 3-6: All My Friends 6-9: Catkings In UNCLE HOPS we will be announcing the Great Australian Beer Spectacular (GABS) Hottest 100 beers of 2017. In our BEER GARDEN we will be pumping the triple j Hottest 100 under our mist fans with cocktails in hand. SUNDAY: Our chefs have been preparing something special. Come by and try our Argentinian Asado meats cooked on our famous charcoal BBQ. It is food specials all day long. As well as this we will have a Karma Kegs to raise money for Something Wild. We can't bloody believe it, in all the years of Tippler's Tap and Mornington Peninsular Brewings beautiful friendship we've never let them take over our taps. But here it is, Mornington coming in fresh with some brand new experimentals they've been throwing down. We'll be tapping the Grisette, an Nelson Sauvin Gose, a Cider Weisse, the Hop Culture Session IPA, and their straight-up-and-down IPA. A special Mornington paddle will be available as well as a banger of a deal, when you grab the Belura, Belura Barrel Aged, and the Cheviot, Mornington will shout you a mixed four pack of tinnies. Because who doesn't want a fridge full of Mornington Brewery beers. Idiots that's who.
