Festival Of The Stone 2017 Byron Bay - June 11th
Stone & Wood Brewery - Byron Bay: 4 Boronia Place, Byron Bay, NSW
11/06/2017 16:00
Join us for a night that celebrates community, live music, the release of our winter seasonal Stone Beer and supports a good cause.
Don’t miss out! Festival of the Stone will be held Sunday, 11 June, from 4-10pm (Queen’s Birthday long weekend, NSW) at our brewery in Byron Bay. Sign up for pre-sale tickets information now, via the festival’s website (festivalofthestone.com)
Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and family. As the sun sets and the music pumps our humble brewery in Byron Bay will transform for the launch of this year's Stone Beer.
After last year’s anticipated music line-up, this year rock band Kingswood will headline the night, alongside Polish Club, MT Warning, Your Mates DJ and a favourite among kids young and old, Bunny Racket.
A mouth-watering line-up of food trucks have been locked in that’ll keep the slow food crowd stoked and the vegos feeling full and nourished, including JR’s Smokehouse, Baylato, Pearl of the Quarter, Pizza Loca The Backyard Chef and more.
To wash it all down, we'll be pouring a selection of our finest, including this year's Stone Beer... Brewed for when the days are short and the nights are cold.
Last year Festival of the Stone raised over $11k for the Northern Rivers Community Foundation, Bay FM, and Clean Coast Collective, and this year we’re hoping to be able to donate a similar amount. All profits this year from beer and tickets sold on the night will go directly to Liberation Larder and Bay FM, through our Ingrained Community Program.
Family friendly, the festival is about bringing the community together. There will be a kid’s area and everyone’s encouraged to have a dance alongside the children when Bunny Racket kicks off their set.
Sign up for pre-sale tickets information and more details via the Festival of the Stone website.

Eyes Open Ride Auction Day
Woolshed Brewery: 65 Wilkinson Road, Murtho, SA
11/06/2017 12:30
Hi all
If you are looking for something to do over the June long weekend, please do come out and join me at the Woolshed Brewery on Sunday 11 June from 12pm.
I will be home from my 18,000km motorbike ride around Australia and will be having a final fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Foundation.
Will be business as usual at the Brewery with great music and brews flowing, there will be just be a few additions to help my fundraising efforts, including collection tins around the place, as well as a silent auction (people who can’t make the day please do keep reading, you will be able to bid online if you are not there!).
*** HOW THE AUCTION WORKS ***
I am currently collecting from local businesses (well from wherever really) so please do contact me if you or your business would like to donate an item and I have not already been in contact (you don’t need to be a local business, anyone in my network is welcome to donate an item and we can organise delivery separately!).
The process will be as follows:
1. Each item (with its recommended retail value) will be listed/displayed (where possible) at the Brewery
2. You will be able to write your name, contact details, and offer down at each item station
3. You may keep increasing your offer if someone beats your offer throughout the day
4. At 4:30pm the Auction will be closed and the successful bidder of each item will be announced
5. Payment must be received before the item can be collected (either on the day or by 5pm on Tuesday 13 June)
6. If payment is not made by 5pm Tuesday 13 June the person with the second highest offer on the list will be contacted etc.
*** ONLINE BIDDING ***
You may start making offers online before the day! I know some of you may not be able to make it on the day and may like to bid on some of the items. The item list will be uploaded to the Eyes Open Ride page and to this event page a few days before auction day.
Unfortunately, there is no phone reception out at the Brewery (I’m from the country guys…) but I will be able to track online bidding on the day and update the physical auction sheets at the Brewery as offers come in. I will also update the online listings with the physical bids being made at the Brewery (exhausting right, stay with me…).
Online offers will then close at 3:30pm on the day of the auction. While this unfortunately means that those of you not there on the day may get pipped at the post by those there in person, I do encourage those of you who can’t make it to participate and bid on items and get involved, you never know if your offer may be the highest one!
As we can’t process payment online at the Brewery, please only bid if you are willing to pay, it is for charity and will be a hassle if you have buyer’s remorse the next day and do not make payment, so please spend carefully (but generously of course…).
If I have not explained this well/you have any questions, flick me a message.
*** ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE Children's Cancer Foundation ***
If any of you have been to a silent auction before, you will know that it is a great opportunity to get something tangible for your donation, and often at a great price.
So please, come join me on 11 June for a great day at the Brewery and get involved in the auction. As mentioned, I will finalise a list of items 3 to 4 days out and post them online so you can take a look and see if any of them interest you!
If you can’t make it and still want to donate to the Children's Cancer Foundation in support of my ride, please visit: https://childrenscancerfoundation.secure.force.com/CICD__Fundraise?id=7016F000001leDn

Returning to Melbourne, lucky no. 7 drummer Jen Sholakis joined Marcus Hobbs, Rie Nakayama and Robert Wrigley to begin recording with Casey Rice (Dirty Three). Central Coast Craft Beer & Cider Festival #ccbeerfest17
Young Henrys: 6 Carrack Rd, Kincumber, NSW

Central Coast Craft Beer & Cider Festival #ccbeerfest17
Sunday, June 11th, from 11am
It’s on again! The incredible Central Coast Craft Beer and Cider Festival is now in its SIXTH year, and will be held on Sunday the 11th of June at The Kincumber Hotel.
Central Coast and surrounds local brewers as well as regional brewers from all over Australia will be showcasing a huge variety of craft beer and cider varieties, and we invite beer enthusiasts, cider connoisseurs, craft novices and home brewers to come along and discover your new favourite brew!
This year’s boutique Festival will give punters the opportunity to vote for their favourite craft beer or cider – the winning brews will be put on tap in The Hairy Goat (the Hotel’s dedicated craft beer and cider bar, and the largest of its kind on the Central Coast). Voting will also give punters an opportunity to win free craft beer and cider, for a year!
Last year’s Festival attracted over 1,800 visitors and this year we are going even bigger – with live entertainment, street food stalls, loads of exhibitors, merchandise, and more! For the first time, we will have the James Squire brew marquee, and the Little Creatures Kombi brew-bus!
Local brewers Block’n Tackle and Six Strings Brewery will once again be teaming up to brew a festival-only special beer which the general public will name and can sample on the day!
TUNES... you know how we love good tunes! We're thrilled to welcome back Jesse O'Neill-Hutchin once again, we can't get enough of him and we know you'll love him too - the best live muic to drink craft beer to!
2017 also sees the inaugural post-festival recovery day ‘The Hair of the Goat’ on the Monday June 12th public holiday– with a triple line up of great local music including The Voice 2015 winner Elllie Drennan, great food, buckets and Berocca… ahem!
Tickets are available online from our website and we encourage you to snap them up quick, as they are selling fast! Your $20 ticket will grant you a Drinking Passport to Pleasure – tasting vouchers, a special tasting glass, voting opportunity, and your entry into the big draw! Monday’s recovery event has no cover charge.
Please join our official Facebook Event – Central Coast Craft Beer and Cider Festival 2017 #ccbeerfest17 . Look out for sneak previews of what our exhibitors will be showcasing, enter competitions, join the conversation and more!
