Oude / Old Geuze
Beer Description
his Old Geuze is a traditional unsearched, unfiltered Old Geuze from Lembeek.
Brewed from 60% malt and 40% wheat, it matures under the name Lambiek on oak fodder.
Old Geuze consists of 90% of 18-month-old lambik, 5% 3-year-old beer and 5% very young lambik, which produces fermentable sugars and viable yeasts.
We mix them in a 25,000 liter mixing tank and keep the mixture cool. To bottle we bring the geuze weather to the fermentation temperature. We put the bottles in an air conditioned cellar, so the geuze can nail on a bottle. After a few months ripening in the bottles, this geuze gets its nice taste.
After this fermentation on bottle it is called the Old Geuze Bean.
Tip: Do you want to know the bottle date? Then deduct from the shelf life date 20 years.
