Beer Description
The story
We wanted to brew our version of a classic Australian Cloudy Ale an easy drinking yet complex beer, with a naturally cloudy brew. And the name? Brewing is hot, hard work, the brewers work long hours in steel capped boots, safety glasses, industrial shirts and thick, heavy industrial green pants which in the heat of the brewery can get a bit
well, itchy. True story.
The styleStone fruit
I.G.P. is Matilda Bays handcrafted take on the classic Australian Ale. This brew is characterised by its cloudy, yeast sediment.
The craft
The beer is well balanced with late hopped Galaxy & Summer Saaz resulting in a zesty clean finish, pleasing to the palate. The Galaxy hops (not actually sourced from outer space) provide a fruity note while Summer hops (a local Saaz variety) provide subtle spice and pepper note flavours. The resulting beer is a refreshing, naturally cloudy, cleansing Australian ale.
The match
This full-flavoured beer with its fruity aromas goes nicely with marinated BBQ meats, like the good old sausage sanga with chutney. A great match with light Asian dishes containing chilli and lime.
