Altbier

Altbier is a traditional brown ale originating from Dusseldorf, Germany. There are two theories as to the name: the German word "Alt" meaning "old" refers to the widely held belief that this is the oldest continually brewed beer style, evolving from methods reaching as far back as 3,000 years ago. However, others believe that the name is derived from how it is made, as the Latin word "Altus" means "high". The brewing process uses top-fermenting yeast and a longer than usual conditioning period. Hop and malt influences are well balanced leaving a smooth, delicate fruity flavour with aromas of pepper.

"Sticke" is a stronger version of an Altbier, thus a bit more malty and hoppy to boot.
