Red Rye Hand Red Ale

Hawthorn “Red Rye Hand” is a hop forward Red Ale with the added complexity of rye in the malt bill. The dark amber red colour is the product of Carared malt and Roasted Barley in the mash. We then include rye which imparts a spicy background character; the result is a rich and complex malt flavour of roast and caramel. This malt profile is balanced with a generous hopping program in both the whirlpool and in-tank. Sourced entirely from the US, the hops reveal a complementary mix of citrus, tropical fruit and further spice. Hawthorn Red Rye Hand is an unfiltered all-malt beer with no added sugar, chemicals or preserva-tives. Complex as well as balanced, it compliments a variety of foods from burgers to roasted pork. Yes, it’s wonderful with food, or equally enjoyable on its own.
