Wheatwine
Description
First produced in the 1980's, a large quantity of wheat (up to 50%) is added to the mash bill, resulting in wheatwine, a variation of barley wine. It is typically brewed with a combination of American two-row and American wheat and may be oak-aged.
While the colour and bitterness varies, wheatwhine typically ranges from gold to deep amber, with a low to medium hop aroma and flavor. Style notes include bready, wheat with honey notes.
Some Variants Include:
Wheat Beer
American Wheat Beer
Honey Wheat Beer
