Stout
Description
Stout is the darkest form of dark beer, as it is made with more dark malts. It is said that the name derived from brewers needing to achieve a more robust, i.e. stout, version of a Porter. The result was a fuller bodied beer with a more roasty flavour and higher alcohol content.
