Atlanta’s self-proclaimed “darkwave duchess” ABRA is heading to Australia for the first time this August, allowing you to enter her all-encompassing alt-R&B world. Influenced by the sounds of New York (where she was born), South London (where she grew up) and Atlanta (where she now works), ABRA’s work is a masterclass in DIY. As a key component in Atlanta’s outlier Awful Records rap crew, ABRA wrote and produced last year’s Princess EP in her bedroom closet, her first release on True Panther Sounds. She’ll be collaborating with local MCs and producers from the Thank Guard family in Perth (Saturday August 26), Melbourne (Sunday August 27), Adelaide (Wednesday August 30) and Brisbane (Thursday August 31).
