Part the new wave of electronic music producers coming from the north of England, he is a pioneering force for a generation of upcoming artists, reflected in recently being voted 11th in Resident Advisors Top100 DJ's of 2016 and picked as 15th by Mixmag. Now 28 Patrick has gone on to make his name as a prolific producer, with a long list of stellar releases; since his debut release in 2013, he has secured 7 different Beatport #1s, 5 of which in Beatport tech house chart #1 with the likes of ‘Get Beasty’, ‘Forget’ and prominent collaborations with Green Velvet on ‘Voicemail’ and ‘When Is Now’. Patrick remains an Ibiza regular with further key gigs at Elrow, Cocoon at Amnesia and Sundays at Space. TIGA Tiga has played a huge part in defining the dance music landscape. Tiga’s first proper job was packing clothes in a factory. Everyone else that worked there was Jamaican. “It was so boring,” says Tiga, “But the people and music were great.” It was at this time that he started DJing, playing rave music inspired by the UK scene. In 1994, he bought a record shop called DNA.Two years later, in 1996, he opened his own club, Sona.. Then, in 1998, he launched his own record label, Turbo, which has since developed into one of techno’s most trusted imprints. Acts signed by Tiga who’ve gone on to become major dance music players include Chromeo, Azari & III, Gessafelstein, and Duke Dumont. JACK RIVER “They arrive in my head and I make them,” says Jack River – aka Holly Rankin - of her eclectic song-writing vision. “I always want to create a feeling that’s completely original to the song. I think in our world right now a lot of things are so homogenised and repetitive, we expect repetitiveness. I want to avoid that.” Highway Songs No. 2. Recorded and produced by Rankin, with assistance from producers John Castle and Xavier Dunn, the EP draws on Rankin’s life experience – from Forster, to Sydney, to frequent music-seeking trips overseas. It announces Jack River as an artist not beholden to any one genre. That’s intentional. WORLD CHAMPION Sydney two piece World Champion are Julian Sudek and Will Campion. Julian was a founding member of Mercy Arms and has since played with Canyons, FLRL (Jono Ma, Kirin J Cillinan) and and most recently George Maple. Will, a bedroom producer, has also played in Sydney bands Cut Silk and The Chevaliers. ELLA FENCE From the depths of a London studio apartment, Hollow Drum was born. While references to fire in the song highlight the passion that exists so vividly in the heart of Gold Coast artist Ella Fence, it also serves as juxtaposition, an Australian girl’s cry for warmth in the middle of a British Winter, on a solo trip that took her through the UK and Europe. Colder than expected due to her given circumstances, a story she keeps a secret from most. Back home across the globe, Ella then recorded and co-produced the track in Byron Bay with The Audacious Vinnie LaDuce (M.T. Warning, Feeding Fauna, Ash Grunwald, The Winnie Coopers). Together, they created a unique mix of bold synthesisers, programmed beats and badass powerhouse vocals. “Your music is hypnotising” - Soho Radio, London UK
