BEER 101: STOUT! In this session, we will look at an array of expressions of 'Stout' including our soon-to-be released Foreign Export Stout. What will come as a surprise to the uninitiated is that Stout need not be roasty and astringent.... it can be malty, rich, complex and incredibly tasty! Even most non-beer drinkers have heard of 'Stout' and most likely the surname 'Guinness', a name inextricably entwined with 'black beer'. In fact, Stout morphed out of an earlier black beer called Porter - a varierty that arguably created the modern brewing industry.
