KIRIN was founded in 1888, in Yokohama, Japan, on the conviction of its founders that beer would become popular with Japanese people. The founders believed that brewing is an art created by people. Using state-of-the-art brewing machines, steam engines and the expert skills of international brewers, KIRIN beer was launched.
