Schlappeseppel
Brewery Description
Here's how the story goes: The year is 1631. King Gustav of Sweden captures the city of Aschaffenburg. While preparations for the royal court are already underway at Johannisburg Castle, it is discovered that there isn't a single drop of beer in the barrels. In the midst of the Thirty Years' War, even the last sources of water had dried up. A soldier who understood the art of brewing beer was quickly found. He received orders from the highest authorities to brew beer for His Majesty King Gustav. The soldier Joseph Lögler, nicknamed “the lame Seppel” because of a war injury, masterfully completes his task. The Schlappeseppel is born.
