single malt and single hop double IPA. Following the success of last year’s ‘Two Little Frogs’, we’ve decided to again release a hoppy winter golden ale. This year’s ‘Two Frogs’ is our first ever ‘SMASH’ beer - a single malt and single hop double IPA brewed with Tasmanian grown and malted Westminster barley and new season Galaxy hops from Bushy Park Estates. Galaxy is the most famous of a new generation of flavour and aroma hops bred by Hop Products Australia in Tasmania, at one of the oldest continuously operating hop farms in the world. One third of the Galaxy hops were added in six separate hop additions in the brew kettle for bitterness and flavour, one third in the whirlpool for aroma and one third in the fermenter to steep in the young beer, in two separate dry hop additions to truly capture the distinctive Galaxy character. Sweet hints of malt shine through a moderate bitterness, with a deep hoppy character redolent of stonefruit, mango, passionfruit and tangerine.
