Witbier

Hawthorn Witbier is a Belgian style white beer made from a combination of wheat and rolled oats. The high percentage of wheat ensures a dense white head whilst the rolled oats impart a smooth mouthfeel. Fermented with authentic Witbier yeast and left unfiltered, the colour is pale straw and deliberately cloudy from the suspended yeast and proteins. Coriander seeds, fresh peel from a unique variety of sweet & bitter oranges and a small addition of cardamom pods all create a complex fruit and spice flavour. Low in bitterness from a light hopping of German Hallertau hops and with a dry and slightly tart finish, Hawthorn Witbier is very refreshing and is the perfect beer for the warmer months. Hawthorn Witbier is an all natural beer with no added sugar, chemicals or preservatives. A versatile beer to pair with food, try serving with seafood, white meats and anything spicy; or equally enjoy-able on its own. Best poured in a narrow glass.
