Pineapple, guava, sweet melon and passionfruit hop characters burst out of the glass. A cooler ferment aimed at retaining hop aromatics and boosting free thiol production result in a super juicy, fruity, beguiling and easy drinking In 1943, war came to Straddie’s waters. The Australian Hospital Ship Centaur was sailing north, painted white with red crosses, carrying only doctors, nurses and medics. She was meant to be safe. In the hours before dawn, a Japanese torpedo struck her off Point Lookout. In just three minutes she was sunk. Of the 332 passengers aboard, only 64 survived. The sinking shocked Australia. Newspapers called it a crime. A hospital ship, deliberately targeted, defied all rules of war.
