Hazella Imperial Hazellnut Brown

Every year - we dig deep to create an engaging and delicious beer for the Great Australian Beer Spectapular Festival - and Hazella is our offering for 2015. Of the one hundred and twenty beers on offer, Hazella was the second most popular beer at the event. Our new brewer Chris Fletcher came up with the idea of a "Nutella" beer. When Andrew discovered that an old friend Bernie had just become a hazelnut farmer in Erica Vic, the deal was sealed. Hazella is an imperial brown ale - mashed at high temperature to deliver a rich dextrinous wort. We then introduced freshly roasted, coarsely crushed Victorian hazel nuts supplied by "Hazel Nut Valley". Hazella was then modestly dry hopped with Tasmanian "Ella" hops. Hope you like it . . . we did!
