Schwarzbier
Description
"Schwarzbier" translates to "black beer". These beers are often called black lagers, but they are darker and drier than Dunkels, with a creamy, long-lasting head. There is a gentle bitterness that comes from hops, as opposed to burnt and roasted malt like other dark beers, and Schwarzbiers are usually quite light in body. They are well-balanced, mild and rich with slight maltiness. There may also be a hint of chocolate, toffee or vanilla present.
