Dunkel

Dunkel, also known as Münchner Dunkel, is a German dark lager originating from Munich. The Munich malts are responsible for its dark reddish brown appearance and full-bodied character. A special technique is used in the brewing called decoction mashing, where some of the grains are taken out, boiled and then returned. This raises the temperature, breaking down more of the grain fibres. The result is unique richer malty flavour balancing the hop characters.
