Kolsch

Kolsch is a German ale originating from Cologne (Köln) and its name is derived from the dialect spoken in and around the city. The ale is characterised by its clear light straw to gold appearance, medium bitter flavour and dry crisp finish. Pilsner malts are added to top fermenting yeasts in fermentation before it is sent through cold conditioning. This ale has low yeast presence and can have light pear and apple fruitiness.
