Dunkelweizen
Description
"Dunkel" is the German word for "dark", so it follows that Dunkelweizen is a dark version of a Weissbier. It is also made from a wheat and barley malt mash, but it contains caramelised or roasted malts that generate the darker colour and complexity. This beer has the attributes of a good Weissbier, or wheat ale, but also has hints of chocolate or a roasted flavour.
