Smoked Beer
Description
Smoked beers are made using malt that has been kilned over an open fire. The beer is infused with the resulting smoke flavour. German Rauchbier is the original smoked beer, but any style of beer can be smoked. Smoked beers tend to be robust and can be overpowering, especially when peat smoked malt is used, as this generates a flavour which is much stronger.
