Scotch Ale
Description
Scotch ales are rich, full-bodied malty beers that range in colour from light copper to dark brown. As Scotland's climate is not ideal for hops, they are more lowly hopped than English style ales. Export versions of Scotch ales are typically stronger and more malty than those drunk by Scottish patrons. There may be a caramel flavor present, depending on the grains used.
